Alright, let's talk about this bedroom. It's clear you've got some good pieces of furniture here – a bed, a dresser, and a nightstand. But right now, functionality is taking a hit. We've got items piling up on surfaces and the floor, making it hard to move around and keep things clean. The good news is, with a few targeted adjustments and some smart storage, we can get this room working for you instead of against you.

Quick Wins
Try these before you buy anything.
- 1Fold and put away all the clean clothes currently on the chair and bed. If it's dirty, put it in the hamper.
- 2Place the empty glass from the nightstand into the kitchen for washing.
- 3Gather all the charging cables on the nightstand and coil them neatly, using a twist tie or velcro strap if you have one, to reduce the visual clutter immediately.
Around the bed and dresser
High PriorityProblem. I see shoes and clothing on the floor and draped over chairs. When items have no designated home, they end up creating clutter zones that make the room feel chaotic and are tripping hazards.
Fix. Let's get those shoes and clothes off the floor. A shoe rack near the dresser will give your footwear a dedicated spot. For the clothes, we need to sort what's clean versus dirty and get them into their proper homes – the laundry hamper or dresser drawers.
Stackable Shoe Rack
This 2-tier rack will fit neatly at the foot of your bed or next to the dresser, providing a clear home for the shoes currently scattered on the floor without taking up much-needed floor space.
Nightstand and power outlet
High PriorityProblem. The nightstand surface is crowded with items like a glass, books, a power bar, loose charging cables, and small personal belongings. This makes the surface hard to use for essentials and creates a tangled mess of cords.
Fix. We need to clear that nightstand surface. A small organizer for charging cables and a tray for small essentials will tidy up the surface, making it functional again. For the power bar and extra cables, a cable management box will keep them out of sight and dust-free.
Cable Management Box
The power bar and its array of cables are creating visual clutter and a tangle on the floor. This box will safely enclose the power strip and wires, instantly tidying the area next to your nightstand.
Under the bed
Worth FixingProblem. I see one clear storage bin under the bed, which is a good start for utilizing that space. However, it's pushed part-way and looks like it's holding random items. This space could be optimized for more consistent, hidden storage.
Fix. Let's fully leverage that under-bed space. Matching, shallow storage containers with lids will allow you to store off-season clothing, extra linens, or less-used items neatly. This keeps things out of sight and protected from dust.
Under-Bed Storage Boxes
Your bed frame has good clearance, and using clear, wheeled containers maximizes that often-overlooked storage. These will hold more than the single bin you currently have, keeping items protected and organized under the bed.
Dresser top
Worth FixingProblem. The dresser top has several small items scattered – cologne bottles, a watch, a wallet, and papers. This makes it difficult to clean and creates a cluttered appearance, even if the drawers are organized.
Fix. A simple dresser top organizer with compartments for small items like watches, keys, and accessories will give everything a home. Grouping items makes them easier to find and keeps the surface tidy.
Valet Tray Organizer
The small items on your dresser top are creating visual noise. A valet tray provides designated compartments for these everyday essentials, keeping the surface clean and making them easy to grab on your way out.
Dresser drawers
Nice to HaveProblem. While I can't see inside all the drawers, the one open drawer reveals clothes are simply folded or placed in the drawer without any internal organization. This often leads to items getting lost or drawers becoming messy quickly.
Fix. Drawer dividers will be incredibly helpful here. They allow you to define specific sections within each drawer for different types of clothing – socks, underwear, t-shirts – keeping them neat and preventing them from shifting around.
Adjustable Drawer Dividers
Your dresser drawers are a primary storage point for clothes; dividers will prevent items from shifting and intermingling within the drawer, keeping it orderly and making it easier to see what you have.
